Wreath Party: 12 Favorite Florists’ Holiday Decor Workshops

The Wreath Party is one of the most popular holiday events in the United States. It’s not just for kids anymore; it’s grownups too! And there are plenty of ways to celebrate with your family and friends at home or out on the town.

But what if you don’t have time to go out? What if you’re already booked solid for the weekend? What then?

Well, there are still plenty of options available to you. Here are some ideas for how to spend your time at home during the holidays…

1) Make Your Own Holiday Gifts

If you’ve ever wanted to give someone something special but didn’t want to break the bank, this might be just what you need. You could make these gifts yourself or even buy them from a craft store like Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics. If you don’t have any of those items lying around, you could always order online. Just remember to get the right size for your recipient since they’ll probably be getting a lot of presents this year.

2) Go To A Craft Show

You may think craft shows are only for hobbyists and artists, but they’re actually open to everyone! There are several different types of craft shows throughout the country so check out which ones will be happening near you before making plans to attend. There are plenty of gift ideas to choose from and they’re all affordable. This is the perfect place to get something for everyone on your list.

3) Go To The Movies

Do you have a favorite superhero? Do you want to see what all the fuss is about concerning Star Wars VII?

Or maybe you just want to catch a little break from the holiday craziness. Well, you’re in luck because there are several movies out right now that might fit the bill. From kids movies like The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and The Penguins of Madagascar to action films like American Sniper and Kingsman: The Secret Service, you’re sure to find something that peaks your interest.

4) Sit Down And Relax

If you’ve been running around all year (or shopping since Thanksgiving), then you might need a break. So, kick back, relax, and do absolutely nothing. Lay on the couch, put on your pajamas, and catch up on all the sleep you’ve been missing out on. You deserve it.

5) Get Back To Nature

If you’re from the city, then this might be a perfect way to spend time out of doors without having to travel too far. Of course, it all depends on where you live as far as what’s available. If you have a park nearby or even the woods, take a leisurely stroll and enjoy being outside. You may even want to pack a picnic basket and some blankets so that you can truly relax.

6) Go Ice Skating

If you live in or near a city then this probably isn’t what you have in mind, but if there’s an outdoor ice skating rink in town then it might be worth the trip. Most cities have them and the best part is, they’re usually free to get in! Just bundle up and have some fun showing off your skills or getting clumsy. Either way, it will be an experience you won’t soon forget.

7) Have A Movie Marathon

If you don’t feel like going out or leaving your house at all, then you can always have a movie marathon. Pick out some of your favorite films and just have fun. Whether you want horror, drama, action, or anything else, it’s all up to you. Be sure to make plenty of snacks because this could last awhile.

8) Go Camping

If you really want to get away from it all then going camping is the way to do it. You can either go right around this time or a little later because a lot of people prefer to go in the summer. You may have to get a camp site, but it’s worth it. You’ll be able to sleep under the stars or in a tent and enjoy the company of nature all without having to travel too far.

9) Stay In Your PJ’s All Day

So maybe you don’t feel like going out at all and that’s okay. You can always lounge around the house in your pajamas or favorite blanket(s). If you want (or have guests), then you can make a big breakfast and just spend the day inside. Just remember to take some pictures so that you can look back and see how festive you got on Christmas.

Well, no matter what you decide to do, just make sure you enjoy yourself and have fun. That’s what the holidays are all about.

Merry Christmas!
